Dear all,

I hope you are all ok and coping in this testing time. I just wanted to send a brief update as there are a few things worth mentioning.

Croydon Council now has a dedicated page on its website regarding coronavirus and the impact on any council services. Given the fast moving nature of this crisis, the page is likely to be updated regularly. You can access it here: https://www.croydon.gov.uk/healthsocial/phealth/coronavirus-information/service-updates

There is a section called ‘support for hardship or difficulties’ where you can find information about extra support or assistance. You will notice there is a section on there about volunteers. Many Croydon residents have come forward offering to help in some way. Croydon Voluntary Action (the CVA) is working to mobilise volunteer efforts as much as possible. If you would like more information, please visit https://cvalive.org.uk/coronavirus/.

Many of you are already doing all you can to help your neighbours, friends and family. Some of you are also already working with mutual aid groups such as food hubs. Please do share some of the good work you are doing;

"When you share your experiences with other people, you help take away their fears."
Rick Warren
Here is today’s update from Action Fraud on the number and types of coronavirus scams which are circulating.
Most relate to online shopping fraud related to the purchase of face masks or hand sanitiser https://www.actionfraud.police.uk/alert/coronavirus-related-fraud-reports-increase-by-400-in-march

Take care
